Bowden Cub Pack are planning a trip to the Lafarge Cement Works in Hope on Saturday 2nd April.
Cubs will visit the works Quarry which is an engineering masterpiece, they will get to see up close the huge machinery used in the quarry.
They will then be given a guided tour around the cement producing factory , visiting various stages of the production process including the computerised control room, and the crusher plant .
Cubs are to meet at Chapel Scout Hut at 9am prompt (mini bus will leave at 9:10am).
Full personal protection equipment will be provided by Lafarge Cement. Cubs will need to be in full uniform and wear either good walking boots or Wellingtons, and bring a waterproof jacket.
The cost of the trip is £6 including return transport and lunch. If you would like your Cub would like to attend please let us know as soon as possible. Payment must be made in full no later then Thursday 31st March.
